More Than A Studio

This year the teaching staff of N.P.D.W. dedicated our lyrical routine (To Build A Home) to Nancy and Cindy at recitals:

56 years ago, Nancy created a studio.

For the 18 people on stage, and the several others backstage, the studio has been more than a place to dance.  Nancy, Cindy, Denise, and family have been there to celebrate our first recital, our first loose tooth, and our successes in school.  They have also been there for us through our first heartbreak, our first losses, or when we were just so stressed that we needed a shoulder to cry on.

When school, home, or friends let us down, Nancy’s was our refuge – our place to dance away our problems and seek comfort from the people we looked up to.

For the 18 people on stage, and the 23 teachers in total, Nancy didn’t just create a studio.

She built us a home.
